Welcome to the Central Gliding School, RAF Syerston website.

The aim of this site is to be a single focal point for information about the activities of CGS. If you are involved in Air Cadet Gliding as a member of one of the Volunteer Gliding Squadrons, it is likely that you will at some point come and visit CGS for an instructor course.

If you haven't got a course booked yet then take a look at the courses section of the site where you will find course dates and availability.

Perhaps you already have a course booked and your're looking for course study material; joining instructions or useful handouts then take a look at the restricted area. You'll need the password so ask your VGS boss for the latest password. The week before your course starts you'll even be able to find out who your instructor is likely to be, so go to the contact us section and find out a little bit about them.

We also run continuous gliding scholarship courses for ATC Cadets. You'll also find information about how your course will run; joining instructions; what to bring and study material to make the most of your time with us.
