Website additions

For those of you with TomTom navigation devices, two buttons have been added to the "arriving by road" page. They will direct you to the guardroom at RAF Cranwell and to the main gate at RAF Syerston.

Two documents have been added to the flight safety area. They were presented at this years CO's conference

The latest edition of the C-category groundschool training manual has been added to the VGS restricted area of the website. If you notice any errors with the document then let Flt Lt Burton know so that it can be changed.

The latest edition of ACP111 has been uploaded to the website, additionally the Vigilant and Viking kneepad syllabus have been uploaded.

The 2010 course program has been added to the website, but make sure you check the date of the document as we haven't decided on how to keep the website version up to date

An excel worksheet has been added to the site for you to try out. It can be used to track important dates regarding your staff

Air League 2009

July 24th, 2009

This year’s winners of the Air League Challenge Cup are 636VGS, Swansea. The weather was not particularly good; however a number of flying competitions were achieved. These included timed engine stopped landings; timed circuits and spot landings. When the weather was not so good DK put on his eagerly awaited "spot the defect" task. Worryingly; after 18 contestants had inspected the aircraft there were still two defects that were never found.

OC CGS

OC CGS has been called away to assist in the Service Enquiry for the recent Tutor midair collision in Oxfodshire. Wg Cdr Lawless is likely to be absent from Syerston for a couple of months.
